I was about to update to the latest Firefox and was stopped by a warning that Firefox no longer supports Adobe plug ins. That means Flash. For those of you who don't speak tech, Flash is the technology behind many of those moving images you see on lots of websites.
Firefox has now joined iPhones and iPads in not displaying Flash, so it's pretty clear that any business relying on Flash for their websites need to move to modern technology. We have several very good options we can swap out quickly.
The problem with Flash is security. There are plenty of techies who think Apple and Mozilla will lose this battle with Adobe, but in the meantime, lots of people use iPhones and iPads and Firefox and will not be able to see your website if you use Flash. So, we are strongly recommending that any Flash site be converted to safe technology.
